So Cook for Love has had its first birthday and I am deplorably late wishing everybody a happy birthday, however, I think Thanksgiving is the perfect time to say “hi” and catch up a little.

Hi Everyone,
Nothing like getting the recipes up just under the wire.  Knowing that many of you have an Easter Brunch celebration, I hope I am not too late.  For a brunch, we make banana bread, scones and in the past had French Toast.  This year though I wanted something different and Molly has been hounding me for a savory low protein egg, so I started fiddling with a quiche.  I am so happy with this recipe - it is delicious. 
 

Bitchin' in the Kitchen

So today has been a complete disaster in my kitchen.  I do not know if I should laugh or cry, but I do know I am about to pour myself a BIG glass of wine.  I was making a loaf of bread this morning.  It looked and felt fine.  It rose beautifully in 45 minutes and then I placed it in the oven.  I am not sure but I think I have an evil kitchen gnome who snuck into my oven and punched down one side of the bread.  Not only did it look horrible, but there was a wet/gummy line on the bottom of the loaf.  How is i
