CHRISTMAS DINNER MENU
CHRISTMAS DINNER MENU
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! I apologize for the delay in getting this menu out to all of you. Things have been crazy on this end. I am always behind in the holiday season, but this year it is beyond ridiculous.
I stole Christmas from the grandparents about three years ago, and I am never giving it back! We have our family come to our house. It is so much eaier when you have full control over the menu. The menu tends to change based on what I am in the mood for, but this year we are going Old School. I am making a Filet Roast for the carnivores, but everything else is low protein. Molly and I will enjoy a new Portabella recipe with a delicious red wine sauce for our entree. I am making enough of the sauce to serve over the meat as well, making life a little easier. I would have liked to have had more time to "play" in the kitchen this month, but it did not happen. Some of these recipes are repeats from Thanksgiving, but I urge you to try the glazed brussel sprouts -- like little candied morsels -- who would have thunk cabbage could taste so good? If you did not try the salad recipe at Thanksgiving, try it for Christmas. The shitakes are out of this world.

Thanks to your generous donations, I was able to purchase some of the software needed to maintain the site. This means once I figure it out, I will no longer have to pay to upload recipes and pictures. Yippee!
I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. At some point in the near future, I hope you have a moment or two of peace in the chaos of the season. I am looking forward to meeting some of you next month at the conference in Texas. (I am also looking forward to drinking a bottle of wine once I get the meal on the table on Friday.)
Brenda
